MUMBAI: Apurva Agnihotri had a cameo in the first season of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain (KKHH), but his fans will get to see a lot more of him in the third instalment of the web series. The show, which dropped on June 6 on ALTBalaji and ZEE5, is being loved by the viewers. Apurva plays Harry, who is in love with Ananya (Mona Singh).
While chatting with the media, Apurva Agnihotri spoke about how his character has progressed in the three seasons, working with Mona Singh and his future plans.
Apurva's Instagram account will tell you how much he loves his bike rides. However, the actor, like everyone else, had to be at home during the nationwide lockdown due to the novel coronavirus. Speaking on the same, Apurva said, "I think I have gotten used to it now. The initial days were tough. Also, at the time we had just arrived from New Zealand." The actor was in New Zealand for 20 days and as soon as he landed at the airport, there was an announcement that no flights would land or take off from the following day.
Apurva's character Harry started off as a cameo in the first season of KKHH, but in the third season, you'll even see him propose to Ananya. "In Season 1, I had only two scenes and they said that 'we want only you to do this role.' When they said it was with Mona, I was like 'Mona ke saath toh phir banta hai'. It was fun playing Harry. He is not melodramatic. This guy is not about big scenes or big lines. He is just an understated normal guy," he added.

People love to see Mona Singh and Apurva Agnihotri together on screen and the two share an amazing on-screen chemistry. "It felt like it was just yesterday when we were shooting for Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, and from there, we landed on the sets of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain. Working with Mona is always so much fun. I had most of my scenes with Mona and I couldn't have been happier," said Apurva.
Apart from Mona Singh, Apurva also has a lot of scenes with Shaurya, who plays Ananya and Rohit's (Ronit Roy) son. The actor shared interesting feedback he got from his viewers. "Shaurya is so cute. People actually say that we look similar, maybe because of the hairstyle," he added.
When asked why he is not seen enough on screen, the actor said that he would like to do other things - like writing and direction - apart from just acting. "Besides acting, I would like to do other stuff. I think this is the right time. I have been penning down my thoughts. I want to get into writing and direction. Creating characters makes me happy," said the Pardes actor.
Apurva was last seen in Bepanaah on television. Before that, the actor was cast opposite Sonali Bendre in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh. The concept was unlike the usual TV soaps. However, the show didn't work and was pulled off air in just six months. Talking about the show, Apurva said that bringing a different concept on TV is a risky business. He said, "When a show doesn't work, there are a lot of other factors, it's not always the TRP. I think being different on TV is a very risky thing to do. Television is somehow still stuck in the regressive stage. People will stop watching TV if they don't do anything about it. Thanks to the lockdown, they can think and introspect and bring better content."
