MUMBAI: Beastlife, the Gurgaon-based fitness and wellness brand co-founded by influencer Gaurav Taneja (aka Flying Beast) and Raj Gupta, made a notable appearance on Shark Tank India 4. The brand sought ₹1 crore for a 1% equity stake to scale its innovative, easily digestible protein supplements. Beastlife quickly grabbed attention with its impressive ₹1 crore in sales within just one hour of launching its password-protected website, highlighting the strong trust and excitement driven by Gaurav’s massive social media following. With 9.5 million YouTube subscribers and 3.7 million Instagram followers, Gaurav’s online influence and authenticity have been key to Beastlife’s rapid growth. Complemented by Raj Gupta’s strategic vision, the brand aims to reshape India’s fitness industry.
During their pitch, the co-founders confidently had the Sharks sample their products, underscoring their dedication to quality and authenticity. However, despite acknowledging Gaurav Taneja's massive influence as a content creator, the Sharks expressed serious concerns about his ability to evolve into a full-time entrepreneur. Their hesitation stemmed from Gaurav’s divided focus between multiple business ventures and his demanding influencer career, the fragmented equity split between the founders, and doubts over his long-term commitment to Beastlife. These critical factors ultimately led the Sharks to walk away, resulting in a ‘no deal’ for Beastlife in the tank.
