MUMBAI: One of Vicky Kaishal’s most anticipated movies of 2020, Bhoot Part One is all set for its digital release on April 22.
The film narrates the story of a ship, Sea Bird, that mysteriously appears on a Mumbai beach; the matter of the ship starts looking suspicious when a couple gets trapped on it.
A bereaved shipping officer is then given the responsibility of the ship’s case. What he does not know is that the ship is haunted and he will be forced to confront his own demons while dealing with this case.
The plot of the film was inspired by an accident that happened in Mumbai in 2011. However, a horror twist was added to that accident in the film.
Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship is written and directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh. It stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana. It has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
The film was released in February this year and got mixed reviews by critics. This was the first part of the Bhoot series, a planned horror film franchise.
