MUMBAI: Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty became the talk of the town due to their relationship inside the Bigg Boss OTT house. Raqesh Bapat’s ex-wife Ridhi Dogra also supported him on the show and often defended him against trollers on social media.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Raqesh said his ex-wife Ridhi Dogra is happy since she approves of his relationship with Shamita. He added that they are mature persons, the decisions they made in their lives were their own, and they have only benefited from them.
Raqesh has wished Ridhi after the show wrapped up. Raqesh also said that Ridhi liked his journey and he played well. He said, “ She would be happy if I am with somebody and likewise, I will be happy if she finds somebody. Because at the end of it, we are two individuals, it’s water under the bridge now.”

He also stated that there is no bad blood at all, there is too much respect still. He mentioned, “And I will be happiest if she finds love in her life back and she is happy and the going is great for her. I will be elated if something like this happens. Like she is too, so yeah, it is all good.”
Though the actor is skeptical about his bond with Shamita as they grew closer on a TV reality show, he states it is ‘pure’. Raqesh said, “We cannot cheat our feelings, especially on a reality show like this, because you are tested all the time. Shamita and I were genuinely fond of each other.”
Raqesh also described himself as an affectionate person. He also believes that some portion of the audience thinks that his bond with Shamita was staged but he is fine with it as he knows what was going on and it was pure.
