MUMBAI: One of the leading OTT platforms, Disney + Hotstar has been entertaining the masses by bringing unique projects for the audience.
TellyChakkar was the first to break the news about Disney + Hotstar bringing a prequel of Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa. It will be a 11-episode series that will transport viewers 17 years back to the early life of Anupama and the Shah family. Apart from Anupamaa (Rupali Ganguly) and Vanraj (Sudhanshu Pandey), other characters like Baa, Bapuji, Toshu, Samar, and Dolly will be a part of the series. The characters of Samar and Toshu will be played by child artists. Moreover, veteran actress Sarita Joshi has joined the team to play the part of Badi Baa, and Puja Banerjee will play Vanraj’s girlfriend.
We have now learnt that Disney + Hotstar is gearing up to launch another series titled Home. The project will mark the reunion of talented actors Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa post their applause-worthy performance in the film Mimi.
According to our sources, it is said to be a family drama where Supriya and Manoj will play Gujarati characters named Sarla and Umesh respectively.
We also hear that the actors will shoot in the beautiful locales of Dehradun and later in Mumbai for the series.
