MUMBAI: When it comes to movies, we generally see a lot of credits and mentions going to the actors, directors, writers and the producers but often we leave out musicians who are also a vital part of any project even if it doesn’t have a song or track. Therefore, the sound department along with the music director are highly underrated.

This is just the part in cinema that is mainstream. Otherwise, just how the audience have evolved from theatres to OTT, even listeners have evolved out of mainstream. A famous example of this is how audience is crazy about K-pop and how an artist like Yashraj Mukhate gained recognition with simple yet creative style of making music.
While the audience has evolved, even the artists have as they can see the acceptance now and get more creative. While there are so many artists who are still trying to make a mark, here’s one artist Bharat Goel who did not just make a mark in the hearts of the audience with his creativity but also got amazing responses from the stars.
Bharat Goel is an award-winning music producer, music composer, and performing artist who, through his social media, has taken over the globe. The artist recently gave out his version of Khand Ban Gayi from Amar Singh Chamkila which was ung by Parineeti Chopra.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Bharat Goel opened up about why he chose that specific song from that movie.
On choosing the song, Bharat Goel said, “I watched the movie, I think both Diljit and Parineeti have done a phenomenal job. I relate a lot to Punjabi culture and Punjabi music. My mother is actually from Ludhiana. I have lived in London as well. There I was exposed to a lot of Punjabi music. Chamkila has been an inspiration for years altogether. One of the reasons I picked it up was I was doing a series of Reels online and doing collaborations with artists who were putting up candid cover videos of their songs and then I came across this particular one and I think Parineeti did a phenomenal job. I heard and thought I have to do something because Chamkila is usually known for very typical Punjabi music. I had to give it a drill, you know, modern twist to it.”
Well, this was Bharat Goel on selecting the Chamkila song.
