Tellychakkar got in touch with Vishwajeet Pradhan where he revealed a lot of interesting things about his character and the show like his expectations from the 3rd season, what made him say yes for the character and much more.

Since 3rd parts are usually risky, did you feel any risk? What were your expectations?

We feel the risk when we know that the product is not that great. I feel the 3rd season is even more interesting than the previous seasons. Since the two seasons were successful, the audience expectations are high but the audience will love what we have in store for them in season 3. There’s a lot happening in season 3 so we did not think even once that the audience may not like it as much as the previous seasons.

What made you say yes for the character when you were approached?

I have played gangsters and villains a lot of times but this had an element of humour In it. It had a desi humour and a desi feel.  That attracted me. It adds a very human touch to the role. Also, getting an opportunity to work with Ram Madhvani, was a god-sent. I’m glad I went for it because working with Ram Madhvani was one of the most satisfying experiences for me, among the fims and other projects that I have done.

What are some parameters that you look for before choosing to do a character? Does small screen and big screen matter to you?

Not at present. I started working in small screen. In 1989, there was a TV serial Fauji which is known for being Shahrukh Khan’s debut. It was my first exposure. After that when I came to Mumbai, I had this assumption that films are bigger and TV series are small. I started getting work in movies. I got to play a villain in Yalgaar when Feroz Khan chose me for the part. I got into the assumption that we are now into movies and will only do movies and that if we do TV serials then we will become small. In 2010 this assumption was cleared when I started doing TV and my first project was for Star Plus. I realized that as an actor you are getting more time to play that role and go deeper into the character (in serials). In a multi-starrer movie, it’s a 2-2.5hr movie, you sometimes get lost as the hero, the heroine and other characters take away the time. I observed that after giving so much time in movies, I am only seen for a little while. So I felt cheated. I have had disappointing experiences on both sides but now I feel it doesn’t really matter. Now I enjoy everywhere because we have to play our role with honesty.
