MUMBAI: Singer turned actress, Amika Shail is known for her works in Hindi movies, OTT series, OTT films, and television serials. She is remembered for her role in the Sab TV show Baalveer Returns as Vayu Pari.

Now, in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Amika Shail revealed about her journey so far, her desirable character that hasn’t been offered yet and much more.
How will you define your journey?
I started my journey as a singer and I have been singing since I was 5. Later on I did a lot of reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Voice of India, and many more. Due to that I had to travel a lot between Mumbai and Kolkata during my school days. After my graduation I shifted to Mumbai to pursue my career in singing. Eventually I stepped into acting with TV shows and now it’s just going well.
Any particular character that you are looking forward to doing that hasn't been offered to you yet?
I would love to do some action-type characters where I can fight and fire. Since I am a fitness freak, I would like to do some action movies.
How do you deal with trolls and negative comments for the kind of roles that you have done?
Trolling is a part of my journey. It doesn’t really bother me and I think it’s a part of any actor or actress’ journey because the internet is free. Anybody can write anything. Doesn’t matter who is trolling and talking negatively about me. Our job is to move on and keep progressing in our career the way we want.
