Fireflies: Parth AurJugnu is a story about A 14-year-old boy named Parth, who meets Jugnu, a mystical kid from the haunted forest of Bheem Mukteshwar.
TellyChakkar got in touch with actor Anuj Khurana to talk about his role, shifting between mediums and more.
How was it like making that transition from TV acting?
So, honestly, I always defer when people say TV acting, movie acting. And all this acting is acting. It's like how you adapt in different situations. If it's in you, you can make the transitions very easily. It's like a difference between a one time match t 20 and test match. So if you are adaptive enough and you understand the needs of the role, I don't think so. ou have to work on the transition phase. And I would again say acting is acting, though the process changes
Does your process change when the medium changes?
It does, because the longer format, you get time to prepare for yourself, to prepare the scripts, you get to go to readings, you get to work on the characters. So you are kind of well prepared for longer format. And I'm not against TV. The things happen very quickly, so you have to be impromptu. But that's how things work.
Even though the show is streaming now, for the unversed, what is your character like?
Well, I am playing a character of a doctor. So it's based in an imaginary place called Bheem Muktashwar. So I'm playing a senior doctor there. But this character has a lot of layers. So to know the character, people have to watch the show.
Anuj plays a very interesting role in the web show Fireflies: Parth Aur Jugnu and the show is streaming now on Zee 5.
