MUMBAI:Barun Sobti and Arshad Warsi starrer Asur season 2 is one of the most awaited OTT series. The fans of the show have been waiting for the series for the past many months, and finally, it is all set to premiere soon.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Barun Sobti and spoke to him about the fans' eagerness for the show, his character graph in season 2 and more...

Fans on social media always used to comment and tweet that when season 2 of Asur will come as the wait has been quite long. So, how did you handle this question?

Social media was not a problem because I am very less on social media. But, people in real life would ask me. I was always in touch with the writer and the producer of the show Gaurav Shukla. So, I knew that it was happening, so I used to tell people that it’s happening.

What will be the character graph of your role Nikhil in season 2?

If you remember, the first season ended on a bad note for Nikhil with respect to his family. Now, it is like tackling the intellect of the antagonist. The second season is not about the family problem, it’s a national crisis kind of thing. So, it's from emotional to more intellectual.

Will there be DJ (Arshad) vs Nikhil in season 2?

DJ and Nikhil are contrasting personalities that was the idea of the whole show. But, the thing is that’s how life is. So, DJ and Nikhil are contrasting personalities, but one common thing is that they want to get the job done. So, there will be a little bit of face-off.

Asur 2 will start streaming on Jio Cinema from 1st June 2023.
