MUMBAI: Vishnu Kaushal is a social media sensation. He plays various characters in his videos. His fan club is called Peaches. He has a great following and the fans love his content. He usually makes videos with his brother Govind.
He is a part of Lionsgate Play’s Feels Like Home and the series' second season is here.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with him and got to know some interesting insights.
What should the fans expect from the second season?
“The first season was a setup for establishing characters, their insecurities, problems and baggages. The second season is more about confronting those things and growing up and it’s about how 4 boys figure out how to love together with being able to be vulnerable in front of each other. It is not that rare but Is not talked about enough.”
From season 1 till the end, your characters went through a lot. What has your character journey been like?
“For me, I have more baggages of Avi when it comes to his life. He doesn’t get along with his father. They both are expecting different things from each other. There is a lack of communication between a father and a son after a point of time. Apart from family, he is not scoring well in college so he is worried about his career. He is so absorbed by the idea of being liked by everyone that he doesn’t get the opportunity to explore his life. His only win was having the hottest girl as his girlfriend and she dumped him. So he has this whole self-exploration journey from the first episode till the last one. In the first season, he is just escaping his problems, and in the second season he is facing the consequences. It’s overall a very intense journey for him.”
How do you feel about the fact that social media nowadays plays a role in deciding if an actor will get the role or not?
“Honestly, I don’t think social media plays a more important role than your talent. If that were the case, every social media star would be an actor. You have to have the talent to be in a show. Social media plays a role in exposing talent. I never thought I would be an actor. I am one because of my social media. Someone saw my videos and they thought I am funny. So I auditioned and they liked it. I don’t think as a producer, I would mind casting someone who brings something to the table. So I think it’s a double win.”\
The second season of the series Feels Like Home is set to hit the platform Lionsgate Play on 7th October.
