MUMBAI: Casting director Rishabh Thakur has been contributing to the industry for a long time now. He had cast for different television serials and commercials. And now, he is gearing up for his upcoming television serial Ghar Ek Mandir and Bal Shiv.
Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with Rishabh with regard to his journey and the challenges his team faces during the casting process.
RISHABH THAKUR ON HIS JOURNEY
Rishabh Thakur exclusively revealed that he never wanted to be a casting director, but he came to Mumbai to become an actor. He had done a few television serials and commercials also initially, but that did not give him success or fame, so later, with some person's recommendation, he became a casting director. Now, he is very happy that he is directly or indirectly contributing to the entertainment business.

Rishabh reveals that casting is not at all an easy job. It has to be perfect and to the point with regard to the subject and the script he gets. Rishabh says that his team has to go through the entire script and understand the character. Then, his team comes up with the best name suited for the character.

Rishabh also reveals that there are a few challenges faced during the casting process. He needs to have a sound and alert mind when he is casting, as casting is very important in any acting project. It is a big challenge, especially when big names are involved. They have to make sure that the character and the work are according to that level.
RISHABH THAKUR ON HIS UPCOMING PROJECTS
Rishabh says that there are a few projects he is casting for, and fans will surely love them. These projects include a web series titled ‘Breaking’, which has Mandira Bedi in the leading role; it is by Endemol Shine. He also has a television serial titled Vindhyavasini for Dangal TV.
