MUMBAI : Filmmaker Srijit Mukherji is the current talk of the town for his upcoming series titled ‘Jaabaaz Hindustan Ke’. It is always a treat to watch the filmmaker’s projects as he never fails to impress the fans with his beautiful projects.
In an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, filmmaker Srijit Mukherji spoke in detail about OTT as a platform, and also about his upcoming projects.
Srijit Mukherji on OTT as a platform
Srijit Mukherji says that there is nothing like OTT versus theatre. As a filmmaker he loves both the mediums. Theatre has their set of audience, and when there is a story that is to be told in a short span of time, theatre is the best medium. But I personally like OTT and web series formats as a filmmaker, because it gives you freedom of expression, and to play with the characters in detail. It also allows you to dive in deep with the stories in more detail because it is a long format.

Srijit Mukherji says that over time, we have seen many army-based web series and movies, but this one is something different, because he does not believe in remaking or repeating himself. This is a web series that is not only based on the army, but also high on emotions.

Srijit Mukherji says that he is always looking forward to treating the fans and audience with different flavours of content. He just hates remakes and promises that the fans will only see original content from his side. He also does not want to repeat himself and says that there are few Hindi and Bengali shows that are in the pipeline which will be coming out anytime soon.
