MUMBAI : Recently, actor Sushmita Sen released the first look at her forthcoming movie Taali. The biopic Taali is about trans woman Gauri Sawant. Through this film, Sushmita will be seen narrating scenes from her life.

She is portrayed in a Vicks commercial as a transgender mother who adopted an orphaned child in an effort to defy preconceived notions about the third gender. She used the money she won on Kaun Banega Crorepati's ninth season to fund the construction of homes for sex workers close to Kharghar.

As per sources, Meenakshi Chugh is going to be a part of the film. There is not much information about her character but she will be playing the role of a Bengali Akka.

Talking about the experience, Meenakshi said that it was an amazing experience working with Sushmita Sen. Meenakshi says, "Sushmita is very nice and helpful. she even gave me great suggestions on how a scene can be done better. You will get to see her in a totally different avatar and manner."
Meenakshi has also bagged Neeraj Pandey's next "Bihar Diaries". she will be seen playing the DGP's wife in the series. This also stars Abhimanyu Singh and will be released on Netflix soon.
Meenakshi even shot for Jio Studios' and Fresh Lime Films' upcoming "UP65". The series also stars Jay Thakkar (Gutur Gu, C.I.D., Rodina and Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2), Priitamm Jaiswal (Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety) and Anmol Jyotir (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai).
This is said to release next month.
