Tellychakkar got in touch with Parul Gulati where she went down the memory lane with us.

When was the first time you had a crush on someone?

I had a crush on Shaktimaan when I was a kid.

Tell us about the first time you saw yourself on a big hoarding or a banner.

It was the biggest hoarding of an ice-cream advertisement near Hindustan Unilever in Andheri. At that time it used to be the biggest and that’s where I saw myself. I took my car in the middle of the night with my mother. We stood there to see the hoarding.

When was the first time when you had a fan moment?

I’m a huge Priyanka Chopra fan and I recently got to meet her again. We did this advertisement “Why should boys have all the fun?”. We were doing a print ad for that brand and had to jump on the trampoline together. I was just staring at her and I almost fell down. Then, they asked us do it separately because we were clashing into each other. This was 8 years ago when I had done that print ad.

Tell us about the first pay check that you got.

It was for the radio channel Prasar Bharati. There was a radio station close to my house and they called me for a voice-over job. I always wanted to do some kind of work in entertainment. I was 14 years old. I did the voice-over job, for which I got a 200 rupees check. I didn’t even have a bank account back then so I had to open one.
