MUMBAI: After a long wait, Rashmi Rocket, which has Taapsee Pannu in the leading role, is all set for a digital premiere. The movie is a sports drama and is already getting an amazing response for its trailer. The actress is once again going to be seen in a completely different avatar. Rashmi Rocket will be directed by Akarsh Khurana.
Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with director Akarsh Khurana with regard to his overall journey in Bollywood and his movie Rashmi Rocket.

Throwing some light on the shooting process, he reveals that it was quite a challenging one because as they began the shooting, there was a complete lockdown situation for 6 months. Taapsee Pannu, who had to go through physical transformation, was ready for the shoot but she had to maintain that physique for six months. The director also reveals that she was more dedicated than any other person in the team. She was the one who brought this story of Rashmi Rocket to him and she was involved in the project from day one. The shooting of the movie has been done in Pune and Ranchi.
Akarsh Khurana on relevance of the movie
This movie is very important in these times, and stories like these need to be told to the audience. Gender discrimination is practised by many people till today and the movie speaks about the same issue. The movie is relevant. It makes you pause and check where we are going wrong in terms of your thinking. The director also says that it is very easy to pass comments through social media, but we need to bring this change in our thinking.

Akarsh Khurana on his journey in Bollywood
We have seen some different shades of Akarsh Khurana over the time. We have seen him as an actor, director, and writer. Akarsh reveals that he is not considering himself as an actor. His journey began as a writer. He is enjoying the filmmaking process behind the camera and telling some amazing stories to the audiences. He has done a few acting projects just for his friends.
The director is currently gearing up for season 2 of his one of the most loved web series Mismatched.
