Yami Gautam on her reaction after reading the script
Yami Gautam was asking about what was her first reaction when she got the script in her hand. The actress said, my reaction was the same as the audience are reacting after seeing the trailer. When I got the script, I was eager to know what will happen next, I didn’t put the script down even for one second as it was so intriguing and interesting. It took some time for me to absorb Naina’s character. There was some emotion and discomfort for me before doing the character. I tried to understand the emotion which Naina must have gone through before taking such a drastic step. And now after the premiere of the film, the audience is also connecting with her emotion.

Yami Gautam on getting into the skin of her character
The actress was asked about how difficult or easy was for her to get into the skin of Naina. Yami said, playing the character of Naina was very heavy for her. As an actor, she first has to not judge her character for the action she has taken in the film. She has to see the bigger picture about her character and how the story needs to be told to the audience. She had to try and balance her emotion without letting out her personal opinion about the situation. In the film, no one can predict what is going on in her mind because the situation gets switched so easily in the first part of the film. So she has to rehearse her dialogues again and again so that when she is in front of the camera she can give her best and her character should look real to the audience.
Yami Gautam on the scenes where she has to shoot a kid in the film
During the conversation, Yami Gautam was asked about how easy or difficult was for her to shoot the child in the film. The actress replied It was very tough for her to shoot that scenes because as an actor we don’t get to shoot such scenes daily. It happens very rarely when such kinds of scenes come into an actor’s life. And when the script demands you to be ruthless then we have to be ruthless on screen. If there are any doubts in my mind, then I can’t perform the character with full conviction. So, while doing such roles we should remember that it is the character who is doing it. That’s an exercise which all the actors have to learn as a profession.
