MUMBAI: In a heart-breaking incident, emerging actor Rohit Basfore, known for his role in the upcoming season of The Family Man, has tragically passed away following a fall at Garbhanga Waterfalls near Guwahati. The accident occurred during a picnic outing with colleagues on Sunday, 27 April.
According to local media reports, Basfore reportedly lost his balance and slipped into the waterfall during the afternoon hours.
The unfortunate event took place around 2 PM, as confirmed by authorities from the Rani Police Outpost. A search and rescue operation was promptly launched, with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovering his body by approximately 6:30 PM.

Police sources stated they were alerted around 4 PM and reached the location within half an hour. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fall was accidental in nature, and no signs of foul play have been identified thus far.
The actor’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and an official inquiry remains ongoing.
Rohit Basfore had recently taken to his social media to share his excitement about working on The Family Man Season 3.
In a post filled with enthusiasm, he wrote: “On the sets of Family Man 3. It was a great experience and I always loved to learn new things.” His words, now poignant, reflect the passion and promise that defined his career.
The sudden demise of the young talent has sent ripples through the entertainment community.
