MUMBAI: Imagine being a longtime admirer of an actor, watching their films, studying their craft, and then suddenly finding yourself cast opposite them in a dark, gripping thriller? For Trinetra Haldar, that dream became a reality with KanKhajura, Sony LIV’s upcoming psychological drama. Starring alongside the ever-versatile Roshan Mathew, whose work she has followed and admired for years, Trinetra steps into a role that marks both a personal and professional milestone.
Talking about her experience, she said, "When I first found out that Roshan was part of the project, I was genuinely thrilled. I’ve admired his work for years, especially as someone who loves Malayalam cinema. I’ve followed his journey closely, so knowing that Aimee would be cast opposite him was exciting in itself."
KanKhajura is a psychological thriller set in Goa, where silence masks secrets and guilt refuses to fade. When two estranged brothers are forced to confront their haunted past, memories twist into a dangerous reality. Produced by Ajay Rai and directed by Chandan Arora, KanKhajura features a compelling ensemble cast including Mahesh Shetty, Mohit Raina, Ninad Kamat, Roshan Mathew, Sarah Jane Dias, Trinetra Haldar, and Usha Nadkarni. Based on the acclaimed Israeli series Magpie, the show has been reimagined under license from yes Studios by creators Adam Bizanski, Omri Shenhar, and Dana Eden, and produced by Donna and Shula Productions.
KanKhajura streams from 30th May, exclusively on Sony LIV!
