MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor's reality show titled “Lock Upp,” where 17 contestants will be locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive. It was launched on MX Player and Alt Balaji. The audience has given it a thumbs-up. Kangana Ranaut will be making her OTT debut with the show as the host where she will be guiding the contestants.
Participants Sara Khan and ex-husband Ali Mercchant were earlier at loggerheads. Now, a new promo shows the two of them sitting together, politely talking to each other about how they don't have any issue with each other and they can behave maturely on the show.
ALTBalaji shared the Lock Upp promo with the caption, "Strongest are the people who have the courage to accept their difficult past gracefully."
Have a look.
Sara tells Ali, “I want to forget the past and move on in my life. This tag (of their quick wedding and separation) which has been there from the last thing has really hampered me so much. I have been suffering, my parents have been suffering, everyone has suffered a lot for this reason. For me, to move ahead in future, in my personal life has been very difficult.”
She adds that people ask her about how she had got married on a big show like Bigg Boss. Ali says, "Since we are here on Lock Upp, let's be normal and not talk aggressively."
During a recent interaction on Lock Upp, Payal Rohatgi and Ali spoke up about what happened between him and Sara after their much-publicised wedding on Bigg Boss 4 in 2010. The actor said he was 23 when they married and now he realises that they were very kiddish, and immature then.
Lock Upp promises to be an engaging captive reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat. A daring celebrity host, compelling tasks, dramatic fights, and an exciting mix of contestants who will do anything and everything to survive in the show’s jail are the perfect amalgamation of entertainment.
