Happiness! Shweta Tripathi welcomes a new member home

MUMBAI: Shweta Tripathi has well established herself in the OTT space, which is currently everyone’s favourite entertainment spot. Her charming presence and happy persona has got everyone hooked! Hailing from a humble background, she embarked on her acting journey with ‘Kya Mast Hai Life’ in 2009, and went on to be a part of several hit projects.

The actress has ticked off another dream from her wishlist recently! A source revealed, "Shweta Tripathi, who likes to keep a low profile, has bought a Mercedes E class 220 D, Mojave Silver, her dream car. Back in the day, the actress travelled in Uber pool cars. From there to here, she indeed has had an incredible journey. It is truly inspirational to watch her thrive on her own."

Shweta is mostly known for her role in Masaan, where she played Vicky Kaushal's girlfriend. She was also a photo editor for the women's magazine, Femina. Before her work on the sitcom Kya Mast Hai Life, she worked at Pixion trailer house, a post-production house in Mumbai and also ran a theater company called All My Tea Productions.

She was a part of The Trip on Bindass and made her Tamil debut with Mehandi Circus directed by Saravana Rajendran. She was also a part of the movie Zoo, India’s first feature length movie shot entirely on an iPhone. Shweta later appeared in the web series Mirzapur as Golu Gupta.

She has started work on her next project 'Saaf', a series for which she has jetted off to Kashmir to kickstart the shoot. She was intrigued about the project right the moment she got to know about its premise. Based on American series, 'The Cleaning Lady', it is a psychological thriller, which will follow the aftermath of planned murders with a lady at the helm.
