MUMBAI : Disney+Hotstar is treading its steps very cautiously and this is evident from the fact that it hasn’t promoted Sadak 2 at all after the trailer release. With only two days left for the film’s digital release, Disney+Hotstar has been awfully silent in this regard.
The OTT platform did not come up with even a single dedicated post after the trailer release of Bhatt camp’s Sadak 2 on their social media accounts until now. Given the strong backlash the film’s trailer received and looking at the way Disney+Hotstar is trying to avoid anything that angers the audience, it is highly unlikely that it will do anything in these last remaining days to promote the film.

Most probably Disney+Hotstar is trying to slide Sadak 2’s release under the rug with constantly trying to create buzz with Vidyut Jammwal’s Khuda Haafiz or Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase. This looks nothing more than a half hearted attempt to please the audience by shining the light so bright on Khuda Haafiz or for that matter on anything else on the platform, so that Sadak 2 is lost somewhere in its shadows.
All this makes it very clear that Disney+Hotstar is quite afraid of people’s strong reactions and is just trying to comply with the general public mood. With not even halfway through its big bold initiative of ‘First Day First Show Ki Home Delivery’ under its Multiplex service, will the remaining Bollywood biggies help Disney+Hotstar regain its glory?
