MUMBAI: Besides the gripping narrative, whistle-worthy dialogues and stupendous performances, the dhamakedaar trailer of ALTBalaji & ZEE5 Club’s highly-anticipated crime thriller ‘Bicchoo Ka Khel’ featuring Divyenndu as the lead protagonist Akhil Shrivastav, has also been hugely appreciated for its music, which has got a ‘retro’ feel to it!
The web show also featuring Anshul Chauhan, Zeishan Quadri and Rajesh Sharma amongst other notable actors, has been extensively shot in Varanasi and music plays an important part of the narrative, to the extent that it can even be termed as a character in itself. The trailer features popular songs from the retro era, thereby uplifting the graph of the scene and dialogues which makes it an interesting watch.
The spokesperson from ALTBalaji shares, “We believe, music plays a very important role in storytelling. Specially if you are trying to create an era. ‘Bichoo Ka Khel’ is based on a pulp fiction novel by Amit Khan. It was written in the 90’s and we wanted to be true to that time. Retro is an exciting space and it lends the storytelling a timeless quality. It brought out an additional layer to the existing storytelling and scenes. What better way to tell a small-town love and revenge story saga if it doesn’t capture the melodies of those times!”
Crime thrillers have become everyone's favourite, and the amount of content generated in this genre is growing every passing day, the latest being ‘Bicchoo Ka Khel’.
The makers unveiled the trailer recently, and the storyline and Divyenndu’s interesting and hilarious one-liners have caught everyone's attention, making them look forward to this series. It has also raised curiosity among the actor’s fans and huge expectations, as they are all in anticipation for Divyenndu essaying yet another interesting character, Akhil Srivastava!
All set to stream on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club from 18th November, ‘Bicchoo Ka Khel’ is a crime thriller that revolves around the story of Akhil, a budding writer whose life is nothing less than a roller-coaster ride with twists and turns to keep you at the edge of your seat.
