MUMBAI: ZEE5 released a nail-biting series Mithya on the 18th of February 2022. The show featured, Huma Qureshi, Parambrata Chatterjee and debutant Avantika Dasani in leading roles. The show garnered a lot of love and appreciation from audiences all over India. Avantika and Huma are seen having a conflict with each other throughout that makes audiences sit on the edge of their seats at all times.
Talking about the show, Huma shared, “I have never done a thriller genre before, in its classical sense. I feel this story and the characters are so nuanced and layered. It's a very modern thriller story and I feel the story has something for each age group and at the same time, it's rooted and targeted to a family audience. So, everyone will have something to take away from Mithya. I feel it's a very complete show in that sense.
I feel women should empower each other and help each other. I don’t waste my time fighting with other women. Whenever other colleagues of mine does well or their film does well, I feel they open doors and avenues for all the others to follow through. I jokingly say that I will fight with men anytime but not with another girl.”
Avantika Dassani has been receiving a lot of praises for choosing such a bold character as a debut. Huma Qureshi like always aced the character of a Professor. The show is directed by Rohan Sippy and is available on ZEE5 for the audiences to have a gala time.
