MUMBAI: Neil Bhoopalam has been the face of OTT platforms. His next web show is Illegal Season 3 where he is being seen opposite Neha Sharma, Akshay Oberoi, Piyush Mishra and Satyadeep Misra.
During an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, when asked about whether he has solidified his presence in OTT. When he selects a script what is that one calling that makes him say yes to the story? Neil quipped, "My one calling is if I have to watch the show as an audience then I would like to be in it and for Illegal season 3 when the makers had reached me for the part of Dushyant.. I was familiar with Illegal One and Two, they said my character would be a new entrant. I said wow Dushyant Singh Rathod is a business tycoon, hot-headed foul mouth womaniser. I said wow this seems like a great character to play".
When asked about whether he has made his base strong with OTT the actor further said, "OTT made my base very strong". He also said that he has done a lot of stage work after Illegal. " I started working on the same called Every Good Boy Deserves Favour. It was set in Russia. It was a satire, dark comedy. The government puts everybody who is against the government in jail and also drugs them. It was a thing happening. Those were complex characters. I enjoyed playing Aditya Singhania in 24 when it came out back in the day. It was a character of a running PM. The older we get as artists there will be more complex characters we as human being evolve".
