
MUMBAI: Comedian Samay Raina appeared before Maharashtra Cyber Cell officials at their Mahape office on Monday, facing intense questioning for nearly six hours in connection with the ongoing India's Got Latent controversy.
The questioning was part of an investigation stemming from an FIR filed against Raina, who is the main organiser of the digital show that has sparked nationwide outrage.
Raina had been unable to record his statement earlier as he was out of the country. However, upon returning to India, he was summoned immediately to provide his side of the story.

Prominent digital creators, including Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani, have already recorded their statements regarding the controversial episode that triggered widespread backlash.
The controversy erupted after a shocking question posed by Allahbadia to a contestant: "Would you rather watch your parents... or join in once and stop it forever?" This remark led to multiple FIRs and fierce debates on news channels, with many accusing the show of promoting obscenity.
Following the uproar, several media outlets and online communities demanded stricter guidelines from YouTube and called for a ban on the channel hosting the show. The backlash has intensified public discourse on content regulation and digital responsibility.
With the case now ongoing for nearly one and a half months, the investigation continues to draw significant attention. Authorities have hinted that a verdict may be on the horizon, though no definitive timeline has been provided.
