MUMBAI: Actress and author Soha Ali Khan has revealed her desire to write the biography of her mother, iconic actress Sharmila Tagore. However, despite her enthusiasm, she admits uncertainty about her ability to do justice to the task due to the intimate nature of their relationship and the complexities of portraying her mother's multifaceted personality.

Known for her literary ventures, including her book "The Perils Of Being Moderately Famous" and children's books co-authored with husband Kunal Kemmu, Soha expressed her eagerness to embark on this ambitious project. She shared that her mother often inquires about her next book and would be delighted if Soha were to write her biography.

In an interaction with PTI, Soha reflected on the challenges of writing about a figure as significant as her mother. She expressed concerns about whether she could authentically capture all aspects of Sharmila Tagore's personality, including the more nuanced or "gray" aspects, given her familial perspective.

Acknowledging the intricacies involved in portraying her mother's life story, Soha admitted to uncertainties about her ability to fully encapsulate Sharmila Tagore's essence. Despite her reservations, she expressed a genuine desire to share her mother's story, recognizing the compelling narrative waiting to be told.

Additionally, Soha hinted at the potential for similar literary endeavours concerning her father, legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. She suggested that her brother, actor Saif Ali Khan, an avid reader, could also consider taking on this task.

In terms of her professional endeavours, Soha discussed her recent and upcoming projects, including the OTT film "Chhorii 2" and her interest in exploring thriller genres under the direction of acclaimed filmmakers like Sriram Raghavan, Hansal Mehta, and Tanuja Chandra.
