He will soon be seen in ALTT’s new show, Janu Jaanlewa.
Janu Jaanlewa revolves around a married bank employee falling into an extramarital affair with his long-time crush, who is working as a house help in his native place. And as luck would have it, he finds himself framed as the culprit of a murder that he hasn’t committed.
The show is about Vikram Arora’s character, who, in the urge to fulfil his sexual desires, with his former house help and crush Meera, ends up killing her husband Jogi and his wife Manisha.
Ankit will be seen playing the titular role of Vikram in the series.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Ankit shared his experience shooting for the series. He expressed, “My character is a very simple man and how circumstances bring a big change in his life is the crux of the story. I had a gap of two years from television. I have done mythological shows and social dramas and I wanted to do something different.”
Shedding light on the reason he took up the project, he mentioned, “OTT was the main reason. Story and the people I was associated with are the secondary reasons. I got very good vibes from them.”
He further added, “Having said that, I haven’t left television. It has given me name and fame. I will do something which is unique. I always believe that a show chooses an actor and not the other way round. So doing something different and unique.”
Well said Ankit!
