MUMBAI: Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, the dream project of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been available for streaming on OTT platforms for more than a month. As can be seen, the web series has a fantastic ensemble of actors, Jayati Bhatia being one of them. Jayati Bhatia recently reminisced about the days they spent filming Heeramandi and even disclosed that SLB had complimented her performance.

In an interview with the popular news portal, Jayati Bhatia discussed the preconceived notion that legendary director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is usually hot-tempered. In reality, this is untrue. Speaking about him, Bhatia revealed that he gave kudos for superb acting and awarded actors Rs 500 for a performance well done. Jayati disclosed that she received a reward of Rs. 1500 from Mr. Bhansali for her excellent work.

Jayati Bhatia said, "When you give a great shot, he gives Rs 500, and I got it three times. I received Rs 1500." She further revealed how SLB complimented or applauded her performance whenever she did well. Bhatia added, "When he finds the shot to be excellent, he won't say okay. He would either say 'Jeeyo Phatto' or he will say '500 rupay'."

The Heeramandi actress revealed that she had kept the Rs. 1500 she received from Mr. Bhansali carefully with her. In addition, Jayati Bhatia stated that he genuinely loves his actors and that he feels that some people have a misconception about SLB. She cited, "When I would go and meet him in the morning, he would hug me, kiss me on my cheek."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also mentioned by Indresh Malik, who portrayed Ustaadji in the series Heeramandi. After his "nath" scene with Sonakshi Sinha, aka Fareedan, he revealed that he had received Rs 500 from the director.

Talented actresses like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal play important roles in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. In addition to them, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, Farida Jalal, Shruti Sharma, and others have significant roles in the show. On May 1, Heeramandi became available for Netflix streaming.
