MUMBAI: John Abraham has collaborated with T-Series to release a sweet and pride-filled poem about India uniting to fight against the wrath of Covid-19.
The poem, Mera Bharat Mahaan, celebrates the efforts of doctors, police, other authorities, and the general public to rid the nation of the fast-spreading and communicable disease.
Covid-19 already has a number of countries in its clutches, but India’s far-sighted decisions have relatively slowed the spread within its borders.
The video features a plethora of cultures that India is proud of. But it mentions that ration shops instead of numerous worshipping places have brought the citizens together in these horrid times.
Mera Bharat Mahaan features footage from various sources which depict the present condition of the country as the lock-down period goes on.
The poetry signifies how the daily, nonchalant lives of the citizens have been disrupted. But it also promises this set-up to be transient, because the faith and courage of people and efforts of the authorities will soon enable normalcy.
The verses also commend the Indian army for still being at the borders, supporting the citizens and ensuring that the efforts are not diverted from the war against coronavirus.
Narrated by Abraham, it is written and conceptualised by Milap Milan Zaveri and the music is composed by Lijo George, with the supervision of Azeem Dayani. The poem has been published on T-Series’ YouTube channel.
