MUMBAI: We’ve been introduced to some movies that break stereotypes. A few movies that come to mind are Badhai Ho where the mother gets pregnant at an old age, Badhai Do which talks about homosexuality in the real world, and Vicky Donor which is about sperm donation.

While these movies make their point in trying to change a rigid mindset, ‘Kaushaljis vs Kaushal’ is a movie which targets everyone, especially the young audiences and instead of making a point, it makes an impact by showing a mirror of reality, helping us realize what love really is...beyond the border of romance.

Kaushaljis vs Kaushal is a beautiful and heart-touching story directed and written by Seema Desai and co-written by Siddharth Goel. Sure, every family looks normal and yes, every family has a problem but what happens when parents of a grown adult decide to go through divorce? The answer is hidden in the story here.

When talking about performances, Pavail Gulati connects to the audiences really well with his performance and gives his best. On the other hand, Isha Talwar, with no surprise, gives an equally effortless performance. However, it is Ashutosh Rana and Sheeba Chaddha who take away the cookie as the maturity in their craft really shows out and will keep you gripped throughout.

Last but definitely not the least, talking about the music, Saurabh Bhalerao does a good enough job with BGM. Even Ashish Chhabra and Vikram Montrose do a good job and while the music fails to make the required impact, the performances by Ashutosh Rana, Sheeba Chaddha, Pavail Gulati and Isha Talwar make up for it.

In conclusion, the movie tells a heart-touching story which solidifies your faith in love even stronger and while there are some scenes which might leave you unsatisfied, just hold on as it gets better later.

Tellychakkar gives this movie 3.5/5 stars.
