MUMBAI: Director Neeraj Pandey received rave reviews for Khakee: The Bihar Chapter in 2022. The series starred Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwary, Nikita Dutta, Aishwarya Sushmita, Ashutosh Rana and Ravi Kishan. When Netflix released its slate of upcoming movies and series, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter grabbed massive attention and got many eager for it to release.
The makers were kind enough to not make the audience wait for a very long time. Khakee: The Bengal Chapter has arrived with the star cast including Jeet, Saswata Chatterjee, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Mimoh, Aakanksha Singh, Chitrangada Singh and Pooja Chopra.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, director Debatma Mandal was asked about the perfect casting done for the series. The director surely opened up about the whole process.
Debatma said, “Aapko batau yeh bohot organic process tha. Abhi toh it feels like god’s blessing, everything fell into place when it feel. It’s all destiny, every show, every actor, every technician who was on-board, aapko show pe khali actors dikh rahe honge, hume toh technicians bhi dikhe, city bhi dikha, city ke log bhi dikhe. Everything fell into place.”
Adding further about casting, the director said that after the Bihar chapter, it was a responsibility for them to ‘make it as best as possible’. He said, “We took the biggest stars from Kolkata, we realised it would be a great show...”
Debatma also added, “It was a great showcase for us to show what Kolkata talent has to offer.”
