MUMBAI :Bhuvesh Mam started his career with Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki (KGGK). The actor then went on to work in Dahej Dahleez, Maayke Se Bandhi Dor, and Ek Hasina Thi. Looking back at his starting days to what he has achieved till now, Bhuvesh opens up about his journey.
“My debut was with Balaji (KGGK). I actually auditioned for another show in Delhi but got selected for this one. Usually, actors struggle to get their first work, but my struggle started after my first work. I didn't know how to approach people, where to go, whom to meet, and how things work. I had no idea. Because the day I landed in Mumbai, I was shooting from the next day, so I thought it's simple out here. But later, I realized it's not that simple. You really have to work hard to be an actor and get good work,” he says.
As time passed by, slowly Bhuvnesh understood how to go about things and made his mark in the industry. Yet, despite having a body of work, the actor chose to maintain a low profile.
“It was never a conscious decision. I'm a private person. So when I'm not working, I love to be with my family. Also, I have always believed in letting my work speak for itself,” adds the actor, who recently made his debut with the series, Lakhan Leela Bhargava.
“I'm playing Neeraj Shandaliya, the main antagonist. He's a top-notch lawyer at the Allahabad High Court. He's ambiguous, practical, and a sorted person. He knows exactly what he wants, and he can be unpredictable too. For him, winning is the only option, and he can go to any extent to make it happen. I'm totally opposite of Neeraj, and can't relate to him. It was a challenge for me to play Neeraj,” he shares.
Talking about the OTT boom, he feels that it’s here to stay. “OTT has proved to be a game-changer. I think it's the best phase we are in. A lot of good stories are finding their way to reach their audiences, which were not able to get big producers or big banners because of box office concerns. For the audience as well, it's a good time. They are getting to watch some amazing worldwide content, and more projects are being made with more opportunities floating around. So as an actor, it's a great time to be in,” he explains.
Differences among the three mediums, TV, OTT, and film, have always been a point of discussion. “For me, all of them are mediums of entertainment. Television is more connected with the masses. OTT provides an extensive variety of content and the freedom to watch your favorite content, which is easily accessible to you. Going into the theater and watching a film is a different kind of experience. For Indians, it's like going to an event. So the magic is totally different,” he says.
On his dream role and what inspires him, Bhuvnesh adds, “To pick just one is a very difficult choice. There are so many roles to choose from, and they are all unique in their individual performances. But if I could, I would love to be a part of 'Guzaarish' as Ethan, played by Hrithik Roshan. He was just amazing in that movie. I feel it was one of his best performances. As far as my inspiration is concerned, there are many people around me who inspire me in different ways. Maybe we are just having a normal conversation, but you might inspire me with your good thoughts or habits. It's just how you see things.”
