MUMBAI: Recently the craze for instrumental music has shot up and largely the credit for this goes to Hollywood. Musicians don't rely on vocals to entertain the audience, instead they create a chilling instrumental soundtrack which on hearing gets stuck into the minds of people. There are several examples where music has brought out certain emotions within us that we didn’t know we had. While instrumental music like No Time For Caution and Stay from Interstellar, Time from Inception, What’s Your Real Name From The Wedding Guest create an emotional connection with the audience, just to give you a few examples.
The TV shows have also had great opening scores in the past with Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Dexter, True Detective, House of Cards, Narcos, Sherlock just to name a few.
Indian shows and web series, also have started the trend to create a catching opening tune which can create an impact on the audience in the long run. Recently released Scam 1992 : The Harshad Mehta Story featured a fantastic opening tune composed by Achint Thakkar which has left all the viewers in awe and apart from the mainstream praises, the music of the show is getting a special mention.
