MUMBAI : Vijay Varma has proved his skills and left a strong mark with some amazing performances over the years. As a result, the actor has rose to become one of the most loved and admired actors in the Hindi movie industry. He has made a strong presence in the OTT space too.

Now after all the awesome work we have seen earlier, the actor is all set with his upcoming Amazon Prime project Matka King. Vijay Varma will play the lead role in the upcoming series. While there is not much details revealed about the series, it is a fictional tale set in Mumbai of 1960s when an enterprising cotton trader craves legitimacy and respect. Due to this craving, he starts a new gambling game called ‘Matka’, which takes the city by storm and democratizes a terrain previously reserved for the rich and elite.

The series surely sounds promising and the fans of Vijay Varma cannot wait to see him in this new avatar. Vijay Varma was recently seen in the OTT series, ‘Murder Mubarak’ which also starred Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Kapoor and many more. The series also marked the comeback of Karisma Kapoor who was appreciated for her performance.

After watching him in Murder Mubarak, Vijay Varma will be seen again in Matka King, which is directed by Nagraj Manjule, produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Nagaraj Manjule, Gargi Kulkarni, Ashish Aryan, and Ashwini Sidwani under the banner of ‘Roy Kapur Films’. Meanwhile the audience will wait for the trailer of the series.
