MUMBAI: Mugdha Agarwal has been a part of multiple web series and she is making a mark in the digital world. The actress will next be seen in the web series titled Unsorted which will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on 27th January 2023.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Mugdha and spoke to her about her role in the web series, complicated relationships, and more…
Tell us something about your role in Unsorted.
My character, Tara, is a fashion designer by profession, something I had to get into the skin of in terms of carrying myself and going about my business. She depicts a strong & independent woman who’s super sincere about her work but also knows how to balance well when it comes to her relationship and personal life. In her relationship, Tara is very honest and loyal.
How was your experience of working with director Rahul Bhatnagar?
My first work under Rahul’s direction was for Pinki Ki Shaadi, a Filmfare-nominated comedy short, where I played the lead character Pinki. Unsorted would be my second project with him. One thing that I noticed in both projects was that Rahul always allowed his actors to follow the vision they have of their characters. The easy-going director he is, he doesn't have qualms in clearing your doubts regarding the script, vision of the character, or its relationship with other characters. This indeed gives the actor the confidence needed on sets to play their part with utmost honesty.
The series talks about complicated relationships. Have you been in a relationship where things were complicated?
I believe a lack of communication and understanding between two individuals is bound to make a relationship complicated at some point, irrespective of the nature of the relationship. However, if you have mutual respect, you always have the scope to clear any complications that may arise.
Directed by Rahul Bhatnagar, Unsorted also stars Vikram Bhui and Tanya Singh Bhatnagar.
