MUMBAI: Vidya Balan along with her co-star Shefali Shah was present to launch the trailer of their most awaited film Jalsa. The first look poster of the film has already created amazing hype amongst the audience and moviegoers. The stars were present to answer some of the media questions during the trailer launch.

During the media interaction, Vidya Balan was asked about playing a grey character in the film Jalsa. Talking about her character, Vidya Balan said, when the director narrated the script to me I said no to the film because I was not confident about the character. But then pandemic happened and one day when I met Suresh and once again he narrated the story and after hearing that I was like I really want to do this character. Throughout my career, I have done some beautiful characters but this is the first time I am doing a grey character. I was willing to do a grey character and embrace it. Having said that, this is something that I have never done before. My character is someone who is very withdrawn and very reserved. As an actor, I love to explore different aspects of human beings and behaviour. And now after seeing the trailer, I am so thrilled and I can't wait to watch the entire movie on the 18th of March.

The actress was then asked about her experience of working with versatile actress Shefali Shah. Vidya Balan said, for me, there can be no one who can be as good as her. I have watched her from the time I have faced the camera for the first time in my career for a television show. I was mesmerized watching her act in front of the camera. I have loved her, admired her as an actor. It was an absolute honour to share screen space with an actress like Shefali. I really hope to get more opportunities in the future to work with her.

Jalsa is all set to release on Amazon Prime Videos on the 18th of March. The film stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in the leading roles.
