MUMBAI: Actor Karan Wahi recently appeared on Pet Stories by Pet Station with Sneha Namanandi, where he shared some heartwarming and hilarious anecdotes about his beloved pet, Noah. From how he chose his name to the special bond Noah shares with his family, Karan gave an inside look at his life as a pet parent.
Karan revealed that he initially wanted to name his pet Jordan, inspired by basketball legend Michael Jordan. “We even played chit games, and the name Jordan kept coming up as an indication. But later, we decided on Noah because we felt he would save the world,” he shared. He also mentioned that Noah is a “Covid baby,” having come into his life during the pandemic.
Karan described how Noah has built a deep connection with his mother. “My mom keeps coming to meet him, and they have their own conversations. He listens to her, and she even sings him lullabies when he sleeps,” he said.
Karan humorously shared that Noah has a strong preference when it comes to cars. “I have two cars, but he will only get into the back one. Now, it’s officially said that one is my car and the other is Noah’s car,” he joked.
He also spoke about a belief that pets absorb negativity meant for their owners. “People say that pets protect you in ways you don’t even realize, and I think it’s somewhat true. I have felt it a few times,” he admitted.
Karan strongly encourages people to adopt pets if they are truly ready for the responsibility. “If you really want to change your life, adopt a dog. Noah has changed mine,” he said. However, he also expressed his frustration when people take pet parenting lightly. “It hurts when people say, ‘My family will take care of the pet.’ That’s not right. It’s been two and a half years since I properly stayed at my home in Delhi. I go in the morning and come back at night because I know Noah is waiting for me,” he explained.
With Noah by his side, Karan Wahi has not only found a companion but a best friend who has become an irreplaceable part of his life.
