Filming for the new web series, which is being directed by Jai Mehta and is being overseen by Hansal Mehta, the filming of the web series was filled with challenges. Reports state that the actors faced perilous circumstances while putting up their best show for the camera.

The actress recently spoke about the challenges the crew faced while shooting in South Africa. Amruta said, “Shooting in South Africa is full of challenges, but they remained steadfast with the entire cast through the most dangerous and risky situations. Some individuals spent more than 5 to 6 months in South Africa, yet they never complained. This speaks about the assurance and support Hansal sir and Jai provided us as creators. Their profound respect for the cast and crew resonated throughout and they treated us exceptionally well.’

As she comes back to the Bollywood film industry and OTT, Amruta said that she feels honored and privileged that she got the chance to work with Hanshal Mehta and his son Jai Mehta.

She said, “I believe the greatest contribution Jai and Hansal sir made to Lootere is their humility, despite their significant success. Their grounded nature inspired all the cast and crew members to go above and beyond.”

According to director Jai Mehta, who shared his thoughts on the series, the primary reason for holding the filming in South Africa was to add a distinct viewpoint to the hijacking scene and make it appear more authentic.

He said, “As a filmmaker, I am aware of our role in moulding perceptions through our creations. We needed to present a realistic depiction that encompasses not only the experiences of the victims but also the human aspects of the pirates and the people of Somalia.”
