Exclusive! "I did feel uncomfortable with Jad's touch, I should have raised my voice" - Jiya Shankar
MUMBAI: Actress Jiya Shankar is a well-known name in the television industry.
The stunning actress has appeared in several hit TV shows in her long career span.
After trying her hands at different kinds of roles, Jiya made her debut in the country's most popular reality show.
Jiya was seen as a contestant in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, where fans were excited to see her on the show.
Her game was liked by the audience and she was seen as one of the strongest contestants of the show.
But unfortunately, she was eliminated from the show owing to fewer votes, just three days before the finale. Her fans were left heartbroken.
She was known for her friendship with Abhishek and on this show, she confesses her feelings for him, saying that she likes him. In fact, fans have created a ship name called #Abhiya which keeps trending on social media.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her about what went wrong with Jad and did she feel uncomfortable around him.
What do you have to say about your friendship with Jad since he called you a snake?
What I can tell about Jad, the things he has done behind my back is shocking. If I was a snake, I would have spit my venom on everyone. I would have done that to him first. The poison is coming out from somewhere else and the audience can see it. He forgot that the camera is on and the audience can hear him. If he is mocking me everywhere, I don't know what kind of person he is. He should just grow up. I have never bitched about him behind his back, whereas he has done this with me. So now, the audience does know who was the snake in the house.
Did you ever feel that Jad touched you inappropriately, did you sense something wrong?
Even if I don't like that person, I would ever say that I didn't like his touch. I did feel uncomfortable at times, and I should have raised my voice and say that I didn't like his touch. I didn't have the urge to say as I didn't feel his intentions were such. He always hugs like this with everyone. But, it did used to go out of hands and I should have taken a stand.
Suddenly after Aashika's elimination, you befriended Elvish and went away from Avinash. Do you think it was the right move?
I don't regret anything if I go that way. I was for my friend Abhishek and I always said that I am here for four of my friends. Abhishek belonged to the other group, but I supported him for the ticket to the final task. I just feel that Abhishek should have supported me in the task and I moved here as Jad was uncomfortable when I was around.
Well, there is no doubt that Jiya's eviction came as a shock to her fans as they expect to see her in the finale of the show.
