MUMBAI: A lot of new content has been released and the audience is being entertained with some unique stories. One such OTT series that is grabbing a lot of attention is the Amazon Original Series ‘Shehar Lakhot’.
Shehar Lakhot, created by Devika Bhagat and Navdeep Singh, stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandan Roy, Gyan Prakash, Shruthy Menon, Kubbra Sait, Shruti Jolly and many more.
The story is about a man who is forced to go back to his hometown where he faces his haunting past and has to prove his innocence. The show has been released and it’s doing well in the OTT space.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Shruti Jolly talked about takeaways from characters, desired directors and much more.
What was your takeaway from the character?
To this, Shruti Jolly said that it is a character that can be relatable to any small-town girl because nobody has a smooth life, there are ups and downs and in this character’s life, there are so many changes happening in just 10 days. Anyone who starts a journey of self-discovery, no matter how many problems come their way, will always come out stronger. This was the same with her character.
While some want OTT platforms to have some rules and regulations, some believe that there shouldn’t be anything as such. What is your stand on this? Do you think that OTT should have some rules and regulations or limitations?
To this, Shruti Jolly said that this is a very objective or creative topic so everyone will have their way of showcasing what they want to show and how they want to show. After the introduction to OTT, people have been getting a voice, she doesn’t think that people are being influenced in a wrong way. If the directors, writers or producers are doing it for the sake of doing it, then that’s wrong. However, if the story is relevant and something is important to tell the truth, then it’s right.
Who are the desired actors and directors?
To this, Shruti Jolly said that she is new as this is her first big project. She further added that she has done Half Love Half Arranged but she did not even know the director before meeting him. However, it was fun working with her. So there’s no question of who she wants to work with as she has a big list of directors and even goes to Hollywood.
