MUMBAI: Reality show Lock Upp launched with 17 contestants who are locked in a jail' -like set-up. They play the game and fight for getting bail to survive.The audience has given it a thumbs-up. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut hosts the show and guides the contestants.
In the latest episode of Lock Upp, Sara Khan and Ali Merchant are at loggerheads over their past issues. It all began with Ali trying to talk to Sara in the kitchen area. He asks Sara about her ‘vote number’. Sara thinks he has some tasks, and after much hesitation, she tells him, it’s number 7.
Shivam tells Ali to not find reasons to talk. Ali tells him, “We spoke for the first time yesterday and I wanted to make a vote appeal for us requesting the audience to save us. That’s why I wanted to know her vote number.”
Sara tells Ali to appeal for himself. Shivam recites a ‘shayari’ taking a dig at Ali and Sara. Ali then recites a ‘shayari’ saying it’s an old one which he used to say to Sara. She asks him, “Why are you doing all this, bringing out old stuff? This is the reason I didn’t want to talk to you.”
Shivam tells Ali to have some shame as his wife is seeing outside. Ali tells him, “There is no one.”
Sara breaks down saying that Ali is trying to flirt with her once again. Sara tells KVB, “You know how society is and how they blame the girl. 12 saal ka dhabba I have been trying to wash it off. This guy comes back again…” and she cries. “This card he plays… he started flirting again.”
Sara tells Ali, “Will any family accept me like this? You think about it. I am not comfortable talking to you.”
Meanwhile, the show witnessed a shocking eviction recently. Babita Phogat, the renowned wrestler who had joined the show with a lot of expectations and promises, has been eliminated from the Lock Upp jail. The show has seen three eliminations before her: Godman Swami Chakrapani in the first week, political analyst Tehseen Poonawala in the second, and Siddharth Sharma in a surprise elimination.
Lock Upp is an engaging reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat: a daring celebrity host, compelling tasks, dramatic fights, and an exciting mix of contestants who will do anything and everything to survive in the show’s jail.
