MUMBAI : Amidst the announcement of the third season of Mirzapur, actor Pankaj Tripathi has responded to Panchayat actor Pankaj Jha's charge that he is romanticizing his hardships. For the benefit of the uninformed, Jha once claimed in an interview that he dislikes the word "struggle."

It is purported that he was alluding to Tripathi pilfering Manoj Bajpayee's slippers from a lodging. Jha used the incident as an example of how their sufferings are glamorized. Tripathi now clarified in an interview with India Today that he never intended to romanticize his hardships and that he has no desire to inspire others.
Reacting to Jha’s comments, the Mirzapur actor said, “I never romanticised my journey or struggles. Yes, I did mention that my wife used to earn while I looked for work. I never said that I would tie a gamcha (towel) on my waist and sleep outside Andheri station. I had a good and happy life when we moved to Mumbai. I have never tried to glamorise or seek sympathy from it.”
He further added, “We live our own journeys and fight our own battles. When you read or hear these stories, some may get inspired. And even if they don't, that's not an issue. One has just to live their own lives the way they want.”

Tripathi is now occupied with the Mirzapur 3 promotions in the interim. The web series' creators recently released the trailer, which teases an exciting and compelling struggle for dominance. It immerses viewers once more in Purvanchal's fascinating but violent and seedy world of crime and power.
On July 5, Mirzapur 3 will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
