MUMBAI: Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, today announced the exclusive worldwide streaming premiere of Kanguva on December 8. With cinematic visual grandeur, intense action sequences, emotional drama, and unexpected twists, the film masterfully weaves raw energy and a compelling narrative, brought to life by the exceptional performances of the cast. Directed by Siva and produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green, along with UV Creations, the fantasy-action film features Suriya in the lead, along with Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. The film will exclusively stream on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide on December 8 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Kanguva follows a fearless bounty hunter, Francis (Suriya), who unexpectedly crosses paths with Zeta, a lost child with whom he shares a cosmic connection that goes back over a thousand years. Trying to decipher his connection with Zeta while shielding him from a dangerous cabal, Francis begins experiencing mysterious flashbacks of his past life as Kanguva, the son of a chieftain from one of the five islands near the southern Indian subcontinent in 1070 AD, who defends his people against relentless attacks from Roman soldiers and feuding neighbors. As Francis tries to piece together these memory flashes, he fights to overcome the threat to Zeta and himself before it is too late.
With powerful performances by Suriya in the dual roles of Francis and Kanguva, and Bobby Deol as his formidable adversary, Udhiran, the film is a complete cinematic experience with a riveting storyline that will captivate the audience when it premieres on Prime Video on December 8.
