MUMBAI :After its incredible success in the US/Mexico, the UK/France, Germany/Austria, Singapore/Malaysia and Russia/Estonia, the Indian adaptation of the Danish/Swedish drama series ‘The Bridge’ is on its way. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will be playing the lead and will co-produce it under his banner Black Knight Films with Endemol shine India.

The show revolves around a dead body that is discovered on the border shared by two countries. While one half of the body is in one country, the other half is in the other country. Due to this, both the countries join forces to do a joint investigation to solve the murder. Talking about the series Saif said it was “one-of-a-kind opportunity”.
He further added, “As an actor and producer, this is the one-of-a-kind opportunity that one waits for. It is a story that has been adapted the world over and loved by audiences, irrespective of their geographies, so yes, my team and I at Black Knight Films - Kunjal Punamiya (CEO/co-producer) and Pavan Kriplani (Creative Producer/co-producer) are super excited to be associated with this project and getting it rolling.”
