MUMBAI: Reality show titled Lock Upp launched with 17 contestants who are locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive. It streams on MX Player and ALTBalaji. The audience has given it a thumbs-up. Kangana Ranaut has made her OTT debut with the show as a host. She guides the contestants.

In the previous episode, Payal Rohatgi and Saisha Shinde share a moment as the former apologises to the latter for entering her name in the charge sheet. However, things took a turn now after Payal didn’t get support from Saisha. She got extremely irritated with her behaviour.

The ‘kaidis’ were assigned a task wherein the orange and blue team had to prepare ‘chakli’. Blue team’s Shivam Sharma tried to ruin the empathy packaging boxes of the orange team, which annoyed them. Then, orange team’s Payal threw their ‘chalki’ boxes. This led to a heated situation in the jail, and a fight broke out between Payal, Anjali Arora, and Poonam Pandey.

Payal got support from Nisha Rawal in the move she made to make the orange team win. But Saisha didn’t support her and said that she didn’t discuss her move with the team and she doesn’t approve of ruining the task just to win it. To explain her point, Saisha went against Nisha too. After the task, Payal was seen walking in the yard area while talking to herself. She spoke about Saisha, “Nisha tumhare liye ladd rahi hai tum baithke KV ke sath bonding kar rahe ho. Nisha tumhare liye bol rahi hai tum baithke Munawar ke sath bonding kar kare ho. Saisha se zyada ‘chalbaaz’ aur ‘dogla’ insaan hai hi nahi koi yahan.”

Later, she went to talk to Nisha, who was upset with the physical fights that took place during the task.

As Payal sat with Nisha, she talked about Saisha and said that Saisha plays a double game and uses her transwoman card to gain sympathy. “Sab apni apni game khel rahe ho. Agar kal maine buzzer dabaya to tumko usse problem hai. Aaj maine task khela aise to tumko usse problem hai. Har jagah tumko mujhse problem hai. Fir main 3 card leke aati hoon, to tum bajoge to tumhara hi naam likhungi na main. Tumhare sath to main kaise aage jau, tum to idhar bhi baj rahe ho udhar bhi baj rahe ho sab jagah baje ja rahe ho. Sab jagah tumko game khelni hai. Tumhara transwoman ka card tum istemaal karte ho sympathy lene ke liye, Kangana ne galat nahi bola hai,” Payal stated.

The show witnessed a shocking eviction recently. Babita Phogat, the renowned wrestler who had joined the show with a lot of expectations and promises, has been eliminated from the Lock Upp jail. The show has seen three eliminations before her: Godman Swami Chakrapani in the first week, political analyst Tehseen Poonawala in the second, and Siddharth Sharma in a surprise elimination.

Lock Upp is an engaging captive reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat.
