MUMBAI : Ananya Panday is set to make her digital debut with the show Call Me Bae. Since its premiere, the trailer has received overwhelming praise from viewers. In response to the trailer, Suhana Khan expressed her excitement as well. According to the teaser, Ananya will be shown trying to live the bougie life in Bombay while donning a vibrant persona.

Suhana Khan posted a trailer on her Instagram stories and commented, "Already in love with Bae..I am so excitedddd @ananyapanday.”

Ananya portrays a young girl from South Delhi who, following her husband's apparent financial loss, lands in Mumbai. After arriving in Mumbai, she is compelled to travel by auto, live in a home with a leaky roof, and look for work.

Vir Das is the boss in the newsroom where she eventually gets hired. Vir dismisses Ananya at the very start, appearing to be serious, grumpy, and focused on bad news. The show will focus on Ananya's survival skills and capture her challenges.

The trailer brings back memories of Two Broke Girls, an American television sitcom which starred Kat Dennings as Max Black and Beth Behrs as Caroline Channing. The basic premise of the American show and the new series are similar.

Call Me Bae is a Dharmatic Entertainment production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers. The series is written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D’Cunha. This 8-part series stars Ananya Panday in the lead role, supported by an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.

On September 6, Call Me Bae will be released on Amazon Prime Video.

On the other hand, Suhana Khan is getting ready for King, which stars Shah Rukh Khan. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist, and explores the mentor-protégé relationship between Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.

Regarding the movie's storyline, an insider has previously informed the well-known news website, “The flavour of action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one would be sleek with a lot of chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and driven by the story. It has lots of twists and turns, which is the reason why Sujoy has been bestowed with the responsibility of direction.”
