MUMBAI: This Saturday, The Great Indian Kapil Show, a comedy chat show on Netflix, will be welcoming Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as its next guest. On Wednesday, a social media trailer for the episode was released, with Aamir having a blast with Kapil Sharma and his gang.
In the first scene of the promo, Kapil shows multiple awards on stage and says that they are all owned by one person, Aamir Khan. The audience in the studio welcomes Aamir with warmth, and he moves between couches to settle in.
On the show, Aamir regrets the fact that his children don't listen to him. He claimed that there was an extended discussion on his outfit for the show at the house. His children forced him to wear pants even though he preferred to arrive in shorts.
Aamir also addressed how his last two movies did not work – Laal Singh Chaddha and Thugs of Hindostan. Kapil consoled him by saying that even his films that ‘don’t work' end up raking in big money. ‘Permanent Guest’ Archana Puran Singh asked him why he doesn't attend award shows, when he said that ‘time is very precious, one must utilise it well’.
Kapil even asks Aamir, “Aapko nahi lagta ab aapko bhi settle hojana chahiye (Don't you think you should ‘settle down’ too)?” Aamir laughed at his suggestion. Aamir has been married twice and divorced twice. His ex-wives are Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. He has three kids, sons Junaid and Azad and daughter Ira.
Aamir's next project is Lahore 1947 as a producer. Rajkumar Santoshi is the director, while Sunny Deol plays the lead role. The movie also features Ali Fazal, Karan Deol, Shabana Azmi, and Preity Zinta. Netflix streams The Great Indian Kapil Show once a week. Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, and Imtiaz Ali, the Chamkila team, were previously featured in an episode of the show.
