The Name Change Was a Step in Aligning My Life with the Energies I Believe In: Sherleen Dutt

MUMBAI : Actress Sherleen Dutt, who is part of the web series Koi Jaye Toh Le Aaye on Atrangii, shares the reason behind her name change. Sherleen was previously known as Samriti Dutta. "During the lockdown, when everyone had a bit more time on their hands, I found myself drawn to astrology and numerology. I started studying a lot of books on the subject and discovered that, according to my date of birth and kundali, my name should ideally start with 'Sh' instead of 'S.' This discovery really resonated with me, so I made the decision to change my name.

I officially changed my name. It was a tough decision because everyone knew me as Samriti Dutt, and I was worried that people might forget me. I didn't have a specific advisor; my decision was guided by the insights I gained from my study of numerology and astrology. My family was supportive, although it was a bit of a shock at first since they were so used to my old name. But eventually, they understood and respected my decision."

Sherleen also talks about the significance of her new name. "The name 'Sherleen' holds a lot of personal significance. It wasn’t just a random choice; it was carefully selected based on numerology and astrology. The name aligns with the energy and destiny I wish to cultivate in my life and career. Since changing my name, I feel like I’ve become more confident and content. I don't know if it’s purely psychological, but I do believe that the name change has had a positive impact on my career. It's almost as if the universe is now in sync with my aspirations. I’ve noticed a shift in how people perceive me, and that, in turn, has brought more opportunities my way. I believe that everything plays a part—luck, destiny, numerology, and hard work. However, I lean towards the idea that belief is powerful. If you believe in something, you are more likely to see results from it. For me, the name change was a step in aligning my life with the energies I believe in, and I think it has contributed to my happiness and success. But at the end of the day, hard work is indispensable. Beliefs and practices like numerology can guide us, but they don’t replace the need for dedication and effort."
