MUMBAI: Abhishek Kumar, who made headlines with his rollercoaster journey on Bigg Boss, has now cemented his place as one of television’s most talked-about personalities.
Finishing as the first runner-up after competing against eighteen other contestants, his path in the house was nothing short of dramatic — evolving from a perceived villain to a fan-favourite hero.
In an exclusive interaction with TellyChakkar, Abhishek opened up about his newfound fame, the turning point in the Bigg Boss house, and the key takeaway from working under producers Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta.
Abhishek, how does it feel to have achieved so much success and adoration in such a short span of time?
“Honestly, it feels surreal,” Abhishek shared. “I’ve been working hard since childhood, and every bit of dedication has brought me to where I am today. But the real reward is when fans come up to you with love in their eyes, asking for a photo. That kind of genuine affection is beyond words – it’s humbling and deeply fulfilling.”
You're now working with producers Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. What have you taken away from them as mentors?
“I haven’t quite mastered the art of balancing relationships and work like they do,” Abhishek laughed, “but what I have learnt is incredibly powerful. When two people support and love each other wholeheartedly, they can build something extraordinary. Ravi and Sargun have created an empire together, and it’s their mutual trust that keeps them going. That kind of partnership is rare and inspiring.”
Fans are now eagerly anticipating Abhishek’s upcoming project Tu Aashiiki Haii, in which he stars opposite Amandeep Sidhu for the very first time. Their fresh pairing has already created buzz, and viewers are excited to witness their on-screen chemistry.
